Confused State and Tangled Management

Bhopal- the capital of Madhya Pradesh is said to won the No. 2 spot in the cleanest city in India category under Swachh Bharat Mission.

The CM of MP, Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced the decision to ban the polythene bags in the state on January 26. On April 11, a cabinet meeting endorsed the decision.

Earlier too, on May 21, 2015, the chief minister had announced to impose the ban on polythene bags from January 1, 2016. Every time the government announced its decision to ban polythene bags, it creates confusion among people and those involved in the plastic industry, from manufacturing to distributors.

Meanwhile, minister for environment Antar Singh Arya said carry bags would be “banned completely” in Madhya Pradesh by May 9-10.

But the polythene was never actually banned in MP although there is a huge requirement of banning the polythene. Plastic bags are a convenient way to carry our purchased goods when we go shopping. They are a part of our modern lives, and we don’t tend to think much about them. However, this convenience of plastic shopping bags carries with it a very high cost to the environment and also negatively affects human health.

Because there are so many negative impacts from the use of plastic shopping bags, many cities and countries from around the world have already put plastic bag bans in place. The following are a number of reasons why local and national governments should consider instituting bans on plastic bags.

  1. Plastic bags pollute our land and water. Because they are so lightweight, plastic bags can travel long distances by wind and water. They litter our landscapes, get caught in fences and trees, float around in waterways, and can eventually make their way into the world’s oceans.
  2. Plastic bags are made from non-renewable resources and contribute to climate change. The production of these bags is also very energy intensive. To produce nine plastic bags, it takes the equivalent energy to drive a car one kilometer
  3. Plastic bags never break down. Petroleum-based plastic bags do not truly degrade. What does occur is that when out in the environment, the plastic breaks up into tiny little pieces that end up in the ocean to be consumed by wildlife. Today, there are an estimated 46,000-1,000,000 plastic fragments floating within every square mile of our world’s oceans.
  4. Plastic bags are harmful to wildlife and marine life. Plastic bags and their associated plastic pieces are often mistaken for food by animals, birds, and marine life like fish and sea turtles. The consumed plastic then congests the digestive tracts of these animals and can lead to health issues such as infections and even death by suffocation. Animals can also easily become entangled in this plastic.
  5. Plastic bags are harmful to human health. When marine organisms consume plastics in our oceans, these chemicals can make their way through the ocean’s food web and then into humans who eat fish and other marine organisms.
  6. Plastic bags are costly to pay for and to clean up after. While we may not pay for plastic bags directly when we go shopping, they are anything but “free.” The cost of plastic bag cleanup is about Rs.11 per bag, and on average, taxpayers end up paying about Rs.5650 per year just on plastic bag waste. So that “free” plastic bag isn’t so free after all.
  7. Plastic bags are not easy to recycle.
  8. Plastic bags have external costs.. These costs include the true environmental costs of resource extraction and depletion, quality of life loss, economic loss from littering, and wildlife loss. Sadly, such costs are typically not included in most economic analyses, but nonetheless, these negative impacts are very real.
  9. There are better alternatives available, and jobs to go with them! Once a person gets into the habit of bringing reusable bags when shopping, it is not much of an inconvenience at all. Reusable shopping bags are very durable and can be reused many times over the course of their useful life. The manufacturing of reusable bags is also another opportunity to create sustainable products and the jobs that go with them.
  10. Other governments are banning plastic bags, so ours should too… or at least make people pay for them. To date, more than 40 countries and municipalities around the world have instituted plastic bag bans.

The Swachh Bharat Mission is incomplete without the ban of plastic in India. We need to solve the primary and the most dangerous issue first then we can focus on subjects like clean India campaign. While the government can choose to ignore this plea as it doesn’t involve any revenues but we as a responsible citizen can stop using the plastic completely.

Let’s pledge that we will make a fine-looking India free from plastics…

Bicycle- The new trend in India

It’s healkungfununs-kGlE--621x414@LiveMintthy, environment-friendly and economical but the best one is its sheer fun!

Cycling is the new trend in India. Indians take it as a new adventure sport some take up cycling for health benefits some are contributing towards eco system/nature. Whatever their reason is but by adapting this habit they are doing a great job for themselves and the society as well.

Cycling trend globally

Internationally, a lot has been done to encourage people to use the bicycle as a primary means of transport. In many countries, Cycle to Work Scheme offers tax-free bicycles to employees. In Belgium, Switzerland & USA, it is not uncommon to see top corporate executives in three-piece suits cycling their way to office. Amsterdam, famously, has more bicycles than people.

Challenges

  • Lack of road infrastructure- Bad conditions of Indian roads
  • Road culture and safety- Weak traffic sense and lenient traffic rules
  • Lack of equipment- Safety measures are not taken seriously in India
  • Unawareness about health benefits of cycling- There’s something wrong with a society that drives a car to work out in a gym

Availability

Firefox, launched in 2005 made affordable bicycles possible for Indian consumers. Bicycle giant Trek forayed into the Indian market in 2006, in partnership with Firefox. Then, Taiwan-based Merida came to India in 2007. Today, global brands like Giant, Cannondale, GT Bicycles are all available in India.

Dos and Don’ts

  • Always wear a helmet. Even if it’s a short distance, or a ‘safe’ place.
  • Follow the traffic rules. Stay on the left, don’t cut lanes suddenly, and don’t jump red lights.
  • Stay alert. Obstacles, potholes, pedestrians and animals can pop up on your path without warning.
  • Give proper hand signals while taking a turn, changing lanes and coming to a stop.
  • Be visible, especially in the dark. Use headlights and taillights, wear a reflective vest, and put a small light on your helmet.

Cycling Benefits

There are a lot of benefits of riding bicycle every day some of them are-

  • Fresh feeling in the morning
  • Easiest way of Workout
  • Reduce Stress Level and feel happier
  • Riding bicycle for 20-30 minutes in the morning ensures that body has sufficient Vitamin D
  • Helps in boosting Immunity
  • Feel sharper
  • Freedom and Satisfaction
  • Live Longer

WISHLIST

Every individual has a wish list of his own… people want to do different things according to their interest and requirements but we are interested in talking about only those who do it for their interest.

Some think of building good physique some think of learning any musical instrument some decide to travel and the list goes on and on but how many of them actually fulfill their wishes.

Even you must be feeling the same as you are reading this article.

But how many of us actually fulfill our wishes???

Because we have numerable reasons to justify ourselves that it’s not our mistake that we are not doing what we wanted to do actually we don’t have enough time or we don’t have ample of money.

But the reality is that we are not passionate enough to achieve whatever we have planned.

So if you are passionate enough about your own interest then STOP giving reasons to yourself stand up and start working on your goals because at the end you will be left with just one feeling that ‘Why? I have not done soo many things in life’. The best time to start anything is NOW…!!!

All the best for you initiative 🙂

HOW TO BE GOOD AT ANYTHING IN 3 DAYS

Day 1. Here it is. The big day that you decided you want to get out there and be the best at something. Or, at least good enough that people will notice your awesomeness. So the first thing you have to do is know everything there is to know about what you want to be good at. The easiest way to do this is to use your resources. Whether it’s Wikipedia, books from the library, your neighbor, magazines, Youtube, specialized websites or blogs, the national food eating competition footage, Google, or even the old guy at the park; you need all the knowledge you can get. Between the knowledge and research, go try the thing you want to be good at. Whatever it is, you’ll need to practice it and have some first-hand experience. Even if it’s something you can’t actually practice before you have to do it, pretend the situation is exactly the way it is going to be when you’re going to do it. Imagine you’re doing it (and doing it well) and that feeling will boost your actual performance when the time comes to perform.

Now go sleep and think about what you want to be good at. You may end up dreaming about it which help even more.

Day 2. Congratulations! You’re already better than most people at whatever it is you want to be good at. Ok, enough celebrating, get back to the research. Find out what the best people have done to achieve greatness at the activity, what they do now when they do the activity, or what theories could be applied to make it easier. This day will be a little less research and a little more practice. Again, just thinking about what you have to do will make you better, even if you can’t do it at the moment. Use your newly acquired knowledge to fuel your skill and your confidence and it will become easier and easier to achieve your goal. The more confident you are that you will do well, the more likely you are to continue that positive feeling and encourage your aptitude to grow.

Time to relax and sleep on it, knowing you’re almost there.

Day 3. The most important day. This day is all about practice and figuring out how everything works best for you. This is where you add your own flare to your activity, something no one else has done or does the same way that you do. While you’re practicing, find something about the activity that you’re particularly good at naturally. Exploit this aspect and continue to build the rest of your skill in the area around that. Still do at least some research on this day too. You will always have the edge over people if you keep learning about the subject while they only practice. You can steer the car but somethings got to press the gas to move you forward.

By the end of the day you’ve practiced more and you know more than most people about the subject and you’re feeling good about your ability in it. Great! Now, even if other people who are good at the same subject see your work at it, they will notice the individualistic flare. The style that makes you stand out. No matter what, you will always be the BEST at being yourself. No one else can be better than you at being you.

Now go own the world.

The woman is the reflection of her man

Brad Pitt About His Wife :
“My wife got sick. She was constantly nervous because of problems at work, personal life, her failures and problems with children.

She has lost 30 pounds and weighted about 90 pounds in her 35 years. She got very skinny, and was constantly crying. She was not a happy woman.

She had suffered from continuing headaches, heart pain and jammed nerves in her back and ribs. She did not sleep well, falling asleep only in the morning and got tired very quickly during the day.

Our relationship was on the verge of break up. Her beauty was leaving her somewhere, she had bags under her eyes, she was poking her head, and stopped taking care of herself.

She refused to shoot the films and rejected any role. I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon…

But then I decided to act on it. After all I’ve got the most beautiful woman on the earth. She is the idol of more than half of men and women on earth, and I was the one allowed to fall asleep next to her and to hug her shoulders.

I began to pamper her with flowers, kisses and compliments. I surprised her and pleased her every minute. I gave her lots of gifts and lived just for her. I spoke in public only about her. I incorporated all themes in her direction. I praised her in front of her own and our mutual friends.

You won’t believe it, but she blossomed. She became even better than before. She gained weight, was no longer nervous and she loved me even more than ever. I had no clue that she CAN love that much.

And then I realized one thing: The woman is the reflection of her man.

If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it. ” – Brad Pitt, A Secret of Love
